Position Overview

This position provides basic customer service and sales in support of retail operations for Memphis Pool Supply through responsive, accurate, and efficient processing of customer issues, inquiries, and sales of merchandise.

Essential Job Functions

• Customer service and sales

• Accurate cash handling

• Stocking, straightening and cleaning of sales floor and stockroom

• Customer telephone inquiries

• Accurate and Efficient Water testing

• Operation of computerized parts look up systems (Inventory Management)

• Material handling and loading

• Operation of computerized point of sale system

• Engaging in safe work habits and maintaining a safe work environment

• Positive, pleasant attitude toward customers and associates

• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

 

Requirements

• Effective communication skills

• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 80 lbs.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

 

Other Skills/Abilities

• Ability to follow instructions

• Resourcefulness, including ability to read schematic drawings and use parts catalogs

• Exhibit self-discipline and initiative for more effective Customer Service

• Ability to work in a team atmosphere and seek assistance when necessary.
