Position Overview
The Pool Technician Assistant provides assistance to the Mechanical Repair Technician during the performance of a variety of tasks including repairs, maintenance and installation of equipment related to swimming pools, spas and fountains; diagnosing water chemistry problems and making the appropriate corrections; inspects and operates supporting pool equipment; keeps records and logs of work; requisitions supplies, tools and equipment and manages inventory.
Essential Job Functions
Under the direction of the Lead Technician:
· Move, set up and operate pool cleaning tools and equipment
· Apply chemicals to swimming pools and spas to maintain proper water chemistry
· Manage inventory according to company policies and procedures
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
· Basic understanding of and ability to use common hand tools
· Strong organizational skills
· Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
· Ability to follow policies, procedures and instructions
· Requires ability to plan and prioritize work
· Must be able to perform duties with a focus on safety
